Christian Anible (48) went into the unveiled presence of our Saviour at 7:30pm on Sunday, September 2 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Christian served as a ruling elder to the congregation of New Life Presbyterian Church in Ithaca, NY and as the InterVarsity staff director for graduate and faculty ministries at Cornell University. He also served on the governing board of Chesterton House: Center for Christian Studies at Cornell University. He held a Masters degree in New Testament from Regent College and was a member of the Emerging Scholars Network. He was respected not only for his leadership in worship for conferences of IVCF and the Institute for Advanced Christian Studies (IFACS), but also for his passionate advocacy for environmental stewardship and social justice. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, and their three children: Benjamin, Katya, and Marie.
